At Inter Madrassah Organisation (IMO), our over-riding aim is to help young people and their families to overcome challenges – wherever they may come from – and to help them fulfil their potential in life.
To promote the health and wellbeing of young people and their families so that they can live life to the full .To equip young people and adults with the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm so that they can achieve the best for themselves
Our work is to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To maximise our resources we concentrate on three main overlapping areas which are described in more detail here.
We are always in need of volunteers to help us carry out the work we do. If you have a few hours spare each week, or would even just like to help us occasionally to fund-raise or support our work then we would love to hear from you

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for the much needed delivery. We also pray and supplicate for the continued success and longevity for the acutely needed project.
I used to sit in the corner and cry all day. I was in a very bad place. I was just so lonely. Since the W4W sessions, I feel like I have a purpose and I can achieve things. I’m not alone.
The Women 4 Women project has seen a genuine breakthrough in attracting South Asian Muslim women to engage with a community orientated mental health project. Not only has the project clearly helped many of the women, but they would not have come forward without the sensitivity and arrangements made by the IMO. Afsana Tutla and her colleagues are to be congratulated on an impressive piece of work
My everyday life is: cook, clean, look after in-laws, look after children, feed them, clothe them, look after husband, do my bit for the community, shopping, appointments, financial pressure, I can’t speak English and I don’t drive, it just goes on and on. It is so overwhelming- I just don’t get ‘ME’ time. Women 4 Women gives me ‘ME’ time. I love it here, I feel so much better in myself.
IMO’s initiative really demonstrates the potential for co-producing mental health services with communities. Women 4 Women is a model well worth developing further.
There are many things to celebrate about “The Steer Clear Project” delivered by the IMO team – first class delivery of lessons which provided an in-depth understanding and awareness of the causes and consequences of substance misuse. Our students at Madrasah Anisul Islam really enjoyed the interactive and informative lessons and are looking forward to more similar projects from IMO. I would like to thank the Steer Clear team for providing outstanding engagement with our students. Fantastic passion and energy for the work you do. Highly recommended.
My son has been attending IMO Football Coaching for over 3 years now, he looks forward to it every week and always returns home with a smile and positive comments! Keep up the good work.
IMO always puts a smile on my boys face, because of IMO my child has activities to attend on the weekend which have helped him make new friends and also develop his social skills.
